The Music Bus

Since 2011, our Goodtime Music Bus programme has provided the perfect musical kickstart for thousands of excited children all over the Wellington region. It is another amazing experience that we are very proud to have created for the next generation and is something we as tutors only wish we had when we were growing up.

How does it work?

We bring our mobile studios (music buses) into your school to provide weekly lessons in a range of fantastic instruments.

We provide the teachers, the curriculum, the instruments and we even handle all the admin work.

Students work through our carefully constructed curriculum workbooks and are given certificates as they progress.

With our All Access programme, students are provided with video demonstrations of all curriculum material to access at home. This allows parents to be able to help their children in the practicing process between lessons and ensures students are progressing week to week.

If your school is accepted into the music bus programme, then to help promote the lessons we will bring our amazing show team in to perform a free concert for your whole school to enjoy.

Your school doesn't need to do anything but provide the car park and a power point! Oh yeah, and the programme is FREE to the school.

Why is it awesome?

The Music Bus programme is absolutely FREE to the school. Lessons are paid for by the students that choose to take part.

Music Bus lessons are fraction of what it costs to learn privately, so the music bus program provides a risk free way for parents to see whether their child will stick with the instrument before moving them to private one on one tuition.

Because the lessons are held at the school in school time, parents don't have to drive to private lessons after school.

When a student is ready for private tuition, we are here ready with a whole new set of amazing opportunities at our private locations.

We run 'Intro to Music' programmes where children get to learn 5 different instruments before choosing the one they want to continue on with, which is great for the child that isn’t sure which instrument they really want to learn.

We provide your school with free educational music concerts and extra fun lunch time entertainment through the year. For example, our Wellington's Fastest Drummer competition and concerts from our show team.

Having Goodtime Music Academy is a unique opportunity to offer your students and is a way to really help build the arts and culture at your school to a level that exceeds the average primary school.

There's also loads of extra opportunities for music bus students, such as performance concerts, workshops, holiday programs and competitions.

We have an amazing administration team that makes sure everything runs smoothly and you are communicated with well.
