Epic music lessons, studio recording time, end of year concerts – and the chance to shred it with mates. At Goodtime Music Academy studios in Lower Hutt, we cater for all ages from children to adults.
We teach drums, ukulele, guitar, keyboard, bass, vocals – and even offer band mentoring … and there’s a chance to have a game of foosball or air hockey at the academy, too.
Performance concerts, workshops, holiday programmes and competitions are available for all our students.

The Goodtime Academy curriculum was developed by professional musicians and teachers. Our curriculum covers drums, keyboard, ukulele and guitar. To keep the love of music and performing going after lessons, we’ve developed a one of a kind custom curriculum for our students.

High-quality music lessons for adults, covering the spectrum from beginners to performers. We have elite tutors to take you to the next stage. Either group lessons at $33 per lesson or a more focused one-on-one lesson for $70 per lesson.

Ideal for students who are focused on developing their musical abilities. Fortnightly offers a smaller commitment, with the full value of one-on-one time with our qualified tutors. Available for students of any ability.

With a maximum of five people per class (six per class for keyboard only), our teachers are able to focus on the needs of individuals, while giving students a chance to experience the thrill of playing alongside their classmates. There’s also the opportunity to collaborate with their fellow musicians and have a crack at live performances.
