Epic music lessons, studio recording time, end of year concerts – and the chance to shred it with mates. At Goodtime Music Academy studios in Lower Hutt, we cater for all ages from children to adults.
We teach drums, violin, ukulele, guitar, keyboard, bass, vocals – and even offer band mentoring … and there’s a chance to have a game of foosball or air hockey at the academy, too.
Performance concerts, workshops, holiday programmes and competitions are available for all our students.

The Goodtime Academy curriculum was developed by professional musicians and teachers. Our curriculum covers drums, keyboard, ukulele and guitar. To keep the love of music and performing going after lessons, we’ve developed an at-home custom curriculum for our students. This fantastic resource includes workbooks and a suite of over 150 videos to make practicing and learning at home a breeze.

With a maximum of five people per class (six per class for keyboard only), our teachers are able to focus on the needs of individuals, while giving students a chance to experience the thrill of playing alongside their classmates. There’s also the opportunity to collaborate with their fellow musicians and have a crack at live performances.

Come join the coolest little groovers in town. Our program is educational, engaging, and entertaining. Explore musical instruments, dance, and have lots of fun. Groups also work towards little performance items for our awesome end-of-term concerts.
